Measuring for Shutters
Measure all widths and heights to the nearest millimetre. Good practice is to measure width then height. Always measure from the bottom to the top. Carefully record your measurements for each window using a good steel tape measure and follow the guidelines below.
Please note that for the purposes of a ‘quick quote’ you can simply measure to the nearest centimetre.

Outside Recess
Measure height & width as shown.
Add 10mm to both height & width measurements to provide light clearance around perimeter of window.

Inside Recess
Measure height & width inside the window recess as shown (wall to wall)
Subtract 10mm from height to allow for opening & 50mm from the width measurement to allow for hanging battens.
