Exhibitions and shows are a great way to get inspired, find out new design techniques and let you see different genres and styles that you may not have considered before.
So if you’re looking for some fresh ideas, here are five of the best you may wish to attend:
Ideal Home Show
The Ideal Home Show is once again returning to Olympia, London, running from 24th March – 9th April 2017. This award-winning show covers everything you could possible imagine from the latest high tech gadgets to kitchens and bathrooms, from gardens and outdoor space to fashion beauty and gifts, from bedrooms and kitchenware to food and drink. Everything really is under one roof at this popular exhibition. Doors open daily from 10am to 6pm but on Thursdays they open slightly earlier at 9am. Weekday tickets are £13 per adult and weekend tickets are £15 per adult.
Grand Designs Live
Held in the ExCel, London the Grand Designs Live show will be open from 29th April to 7th May 2017. The show offers visitors the opportunity to see all the latest design trends and so much more. Last year they featured the RIBA House of the Year Model Village, giving visitors to see up close the designs, sketches, drawings, and models of those houses which made it to the 2015 shortlist. Hopefully this new feature will continue for the 2017 exhibition. Inspiration can be found for all areas of the house such as bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and gardens.
The National Home Building and Renovating Show

The exhibition runs for four days at the NEC Birmingham from 23rd – 26th March. You’ll find numerous exhibitors, helpful seminars on a range of helpful topics, and an advice centre where you can get specific one-on-one consultations with architects, planners, builders, architectural technologists, and their very own Homebuilding & Renovating experts.
